The GT-Digital Microbial Source Tracking (MST) E.coli;Sketa Assay v1.0 for the Bio-Rad QX200™ or QX600™ is a molecular reagent kit containing all primers, probes, and controls necessary for the wastewater surveillance of microbial DNA specific to E.coli from environmental water. The target used to detect E.coli DNA is EC23S, located on the 23S rRNA gene. This assay also utilizes Sketa (Sketa-22) as a matrix recovery control (also called an internal process control), allowing the user to normalize extraction processes for potential differences in DNA recovery. Through the use of this kit in conjunction with the Bio-Rad QX200™ or QX600™ Droplet Digital™ PCR System, users can monitor E.coli levels in wastetwater.
