GT-Digital Microbial Source Tracking (MST) Dog;Pig Assay v1.0 for the Bio-Rad QX200™ or QX600™ Droplet Digital™ PCR System is a molecular reagent kit consisting of all primers, probes, and controls necessary for detection of microbial DNA specific to dog and pig Bacteroides species. This assay allows identification of fecal contamination sources in water environments, including lakes, rivers, reservoirs, groundwater, and stormwater. The assay targets the BacCan marker for dog-associated Bacteroides and the Pig2Bac marker for pig-associated Bacteroides, both located on the 16S rRNA gene sequences. Assay solutions and appropriate controls are provided to ensure accurate quantification of BacCan and Pig2Bac targets.
