GT-Digital Microbial Source Tracking Human;E.coli;Cow;Gull;Dog Panel v1.0 for the QIAGEN QIAcuity® Digital PCR System is a molecular reagent kit consisting of all primers, probes, and controls necessary for detection of microbial DNA specific to human, cow, gull and dog Bacteroides species, as well as E. coli species. This assay allows identification of fecal contamination sources in water environments, including lakes, rivers, reservoirs, groundwater, and stormwater. The assay targets the HF183 marker for human-associated Bacteroides (FAM), CowM2 for cow-associated Bacteroides (ROX), Gull4 for gull associated Bacteroides (TAMRA), BacCan for dog-associated Bacteroides (Cy5), and EC23S marker for E. coli (HEX), located on the 16S rRNA gene sequences. Assay solutions and appropriate controls are provided to ensure accurate quantification of all targets. When used in conjunction with the QIAGEN QIAcuity® Digital PCR System, this kit facilitates reliable microbial source tracking, supporting environmental water (EW) quality assessments and public health surveillance efforts.
