The dPCR BQ.1 vs XBB Discrimination Assay Kit for the Bio-Rad QX200® Droplet Digital? PCR System is a molecular reagent kit containing all primers, probes, and controls for detection and discrimination of signature mutations within the Spike gene and Nucleocapsid gene of the BQ.1/BQ.1.1 and XBB/XBB.1.5 subvariants of the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant. While this test does not target every mutation present in these virus variants, it detects both wild type and variant-associated genomic sequences corresponding to Spike protein amino acid 490 and Nucleocapsid amino acid 136. The reaction provides detection and discrimination of the signature mutations associated with the BQ.1/BQ.1.1 (F490S) variant and XBB/XBB.1.5 (N_E136D) variant from the wild type sequences. Please note these targets cannot distinguish BQ.1 from BQ.1.1 nor XBB from XBB.1.5. Contains enough material for 200 reactions.
