GT-Digital Microbial Source Tracking (MST) Human;Cow Assay v1.0 for the Bio-Rad QX200™ or QX600™ Droplet Digital™ PCR System is a molecular reagent kit consisting of all primers, probes, and controls necessary for detection of microbial DNA specific to human and cow Bacteroides species. This assay allows identification of fecal contamination sources in water environments, including lakes, rivers, reservoirs, groundwater, and stormwater. The assay targets the HF183 marker for human-associated Bacteroides and the CowM2 marker for cow-associated Bacteroides, both located on the 16S rRNA gene sequences. Assay solutions and appropriate controls are provided to ensure accurate quantification of HF183 and CowM2 targets.
