How long do next-generation sequencing (NGS) services take?

On average, customers receive sequencing results 2 weeks after sample receipt. You will receive an email when your results are available.

What is your target for SARS-CoV-2 variant sequencing?

We target the entire SARS-CoV-2 genome. By utilizing the latest version of ARTIC primers available, we are able to capture new variants as they arise.

How does 16S metagenomic sequencing work?

16S metagenomic sequencing targets the bacterial 16S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) gene. By sequencing the whole 1500-base gene, we capture all of the highly variable regions present, allowing us to accurately detect the relative abundance of every bacteria present at the time of sampling.

Do you report SARS-CoV-2 variant information to the CDC?

Our sequencing results are compatible with the NWSS DECIPHER database, and we are happy to assist customers if they want to submit their results.
